Moving Forward Deliberately with Love

I'm at a point in life where I’m content  in the present.  I don’t fantasize over the future.  I’m not hung up on what could’ve been,  what should’ve been, who hurt me,  what I’m owed, what’s fair, unfair, right, wrong, or on any single thing I can’t go back  and do differently.  I’m doing differently now.  I'm moving deliberately with love.  Protecting and padding my peace.  Forgiving quickly. Setting boundaries.  Expressing gratitude freely.  I’m closer to the person I envisioned myself becoming than ever before.  I learned my lessons,  and I grew from places  I still can’t make sense of.  This isn’t where I thought I’d be,  but right here is where I am.  I’m not reliving long nights,  singing sad songs, commiserating over campfires that feel like purgatories.  I’m not pretending to be someone I’ll never be, I’m accepting that the best of me is someone to be proud of and plenty already....

It Doesn't Interest Me

"It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing. It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive. It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life's betrayals or have become shriveled and closed from fear of further pain. I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it, or fade it, or fix it. I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own; if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, be realistic, remember the limitations of being human. It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can...

Still I Rise

You may write me down in history With your bitter, twisted lies, You may trod me in the very dirt But still, like dust, I'll rise. Does my sassiness upset you? Why are you beset with gloom? ’Cause I walk like I've got oil wells Pumping in my living room. Just like moons and like suns, With the certainty of tides, Just like hopes springing high, Still I'll rise. Did you want to see me broken? Bowed head and lowered eyes? Shoulders falling down like teardrops, Weakened by my soulful cries? Does my haughtiness offend you? Don't you take it awful hard ’Cause I laugh like I've got gold mines Diggin’ in my own backyard. You may shoot me with your words, You may cut me with your eyes, You may kill me with your hatefulness, But still, like air, I’ll rise. Does my sexiness upset you? Does it come as a surprise That I dance like I've got diamonds At the meeting of my thighs? Out of the huts of history’s shame I rise Up from a past that’s rooted in pain I rise I'm a ...

R.H. Sin- The Unstoppable Force

she was no princess her distress didn't need your attention she was a warrior fighting for herself and everything she deserved she refused to allow others the ability to control her narrative she produced and published her own story and there was nothing anyone could do to stop her Reference~ R.H Sin

The Theories of R.H Sin

~ You can't keep a man who doesn't deserve you. Maybe that's why they leave. ~ But sweetheart you're a wolf. No need to howl over the loss of weak men incapable of accepting you. ~ One day she'll bury the memories she made with you.  ~ Remove your heart from his hands. He's not man enough to care for it. ~ The most dangerous woman of all is the one who refuses to rely on your sword to save her because she carries her own. ~ You deserve the world even if it means giving it to yourself. ~ I guess what I've always wanted was someone who loves me enough to match my effort. ~ Some women fear the fire, some women simply become it. ~ I used to care so much I used to fight for this. I tried my hardest to hold on and keep you but you didn't want this as much as I did. I didn't lose you. Let's be honest, you lost me. ~ A woman with a past is still someone's future. Reference~ R.H Sin

Rupi Kaur- Made Heavy

you tell me to quiet down cause my opinions make me less beautiful but i was not made with a fire in my belly so i could be put out i was not made with a lightness on my tongue so i could be easy to swallow i was made heavy half blade and half silk difficult to forget and not easy for the mind to follow Reference~ Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur

Meditation

How long will you remain a boy? Dawns must end. Behold the angels of old age. Shake off temporal things then the way a bird shakes off  the night dew. Dart like a swallow from the raging ocean of daily events and pursue the Lord in the intimate company of souls flowing into His virtue. Reference~ Carl Rakosi

Lilly's Poem

There is a True, above, between, beyond the One or Two. Both One and Two, They are the Three within Whose Love They sing you into being and becoming. It is there I rest from death's demands, from works that turn my face away, and in this ease I breathe in life and, re-turning, hear the Voice I trust, and I am known, am freed, to now and evermore participating  in seeing. Reference~ Eve by WM. Paul Young

At Twilight

Because there is no substitute for vigorous and exact description, I would like to say how your eyes, at twilight, reflect, at the same time, the beauty of the world, and its crimes. Reference~ The Leaf and The Cloud by Mary Oliver
