The Little Prince

From Journal Entry: Astral Projection 12/15/11

I found myself in front of a house, lying in the grass.  A black woman, cheery, mid to late 30's- comes out of a house.  I asked her where I was.  She said Corpus Prince.  I asked what day it was.  She said Tan Baby Day.  She repeated Corpus Prince with the number 40.
An Internet search of Corpus Prince led me to a children's book, The Little Prince.  I read the book and found a personal message I believe was meant for me.  This is what I got out the book that found it's way into my life.

The Little Prince visits seven planets.  The last one he visits is Earth.  He has encountered arrogance, self absorbed, egotistical men with no purpose. He does though meet a a Lamp Lighter who has a purpose.  On Earth, he meets a man in the desert.  His plane has crashed and he is desperately trying to fix it.  He forms a bond with this man and meets a fox that wants to be tamed.  The fox reminds him of his rose that he cared for back home on his planet.
The Little Prince realizes that the time he spent with his rose is what made the rose so important.  That he is responsible forever for what he has tamed and cared for diligently and lovingly.  He longs to see his rose again and allows a snake to bite him.  The Little Prince tells the man not to be sad at what he sees as a lifeless body.  That it is just a shell, and he is returning home to his rose.

Live From the Heart

Your reality is not in the words you say.  Your reality is within your heart.  Speak the words that live there.  Bring their essence to light and be free from your illusions and chains.  It takes courage to live from the heart.

Rumi- Open-Mouthed

Now, when I am together with the Friend, with the Beloved, how can I be patient- how could I bear being with strangers?  From the beginning, I felt a great deal of love for you, but I saw then as we began to speak that you weren't mature enough to understand the subtle indications.  If I had spoken more then, you wouldn't have had the ability to understand.  So we closed our mouth, because in those days, you didn't have the state that would allow me to speak.

Animal Energies

Any love:  earth-love, spirit, the way of a hawk with the wind, a swan with a pond, grandparents with grandchildren, ant with a grain of corn, all the natural drawings-together lead eventually to annihilation.  This is the mystery of the animal energies.
At the core of each person's nature are unique seeds of desiring, which flourish through the development of personality, not through any suppression of it.  The animals of desiring, the rooster with lust, the duck of urgency, the horse of passion, the crow of acquiring things, the lion of majesty- are not to be thwarted, but lived, transmuted, and incorporated.  This is the art of forming a personality.  Only when we live the animal powers do we learn that those satisfactions are not what we truly wanted.  The purpose of desire is to perfect the longings, for at the core of longing is the Friend, Christ, Krishna, the emptiness, Buddha.  There is nothing to fear in the universe.  The great love at the center of longing has no fear in it.
There is a witness who watches the obstreperous play of flame and eros and says, This is the dance of existence.  A great mutual embrace is always happening between the eternal and what dies.  We are all writing the book of love.  We're here to love each other, to deepen and unfold that capacity, to open the heart.  And that means living in the witness.
Sex is basic and nourishing to human beings.  Lovemaking is going on everywhere in nature.  Rumi says, Remember, the way you make love is the way God will be with you.

"God lives between a human being and the object of his desire." (Discourse N0. 44)

Dream- Bear in Water

From Journal Entry 6/6/2011

A man is hanging from a side of a mountain on a rope.  Something is wrong and there is the presence of danger.  He was the first one up and his friend is below him.  The rope is going to break.  He looks out to the distance and sees a lake.  In the lake is a bear.  The bear is basking in the sun and frolicking in the water.  The man's eyes meet the Bear's eyes.  His consciousness merges with the bear.  He feels a connection with nature and only presence.  There in no fear or immediate danger.

Animals can live inside the landscape without our noisy self-consciousness.  When we turn and go with them, we enter a silence and a transcendence.  We perceive through their eyes with their energies.

Hadwijch of Antwerp the Mystic

"Vision VII" by Hadwijch of Antwerp

One Pentecost at dawn I had a vision. Matins were being sung in the church and I was there. I was in such a state so passionate and so terribly unnerved that I thought I should not satisfy my Lover and my Lover not fully gratify me, then I would have to desire while dying and die while desiring. I desired to consummate my Lover completely and to confess and to savor to the fullest extent- to fulfill his humanity blissfully with mine and to experience mine therein, and to be strong and perfect so that I in turn would satisfy him perfectly: to be purely and exclusively and completely virtuous in every virtue. And to that end I wished inside me, that he would satisfy me with his Godhead in one spirit (1 Cor 6:17) and he be all he is without restraint. For above all gifts I could choose, I choose that I may give satisfaction in all great sufferings. For that is what it means to satisfy completely: to grow to being god with God. For it is suffering and pain, sorrow and being in great new grieving, and letting this all come and go without grief, and to taste nothing of it but sweet love and embraces and kisses. Thus I desired that God should be with me so that I should be fulfilled together with him.

Christ showed himself as a human being. He gave himself to me in the form of the sacrament. Then he gave me to drink from the chalice. Then he came to me himself and took me completely in his arms and pressed me to him. And all my limbs felt his limbs in the full satisfaction that my heart and my humanity desired. All to soon I lost external sight of the shape of him, and I saw him disappear into nothing, so quickly melting away and fusing together that I could not see or observe him outside of me, nor discern him within me. It was to me at that moment as if we were one without distinction. I remained in a state of oneness with my Beloved so that I melted into him and ceased to be myself.

Dream- A Bouquet of Dead Flowers

From Journal Entry 11/28/2011

A woman has a bouquet of dead flowers.  She is mourning the loss of someone dear to her.  Jesus is there with the woman.  He is crying, rejoicing this soul.  Jesus wants to buy the flowers from the woman.  The woman's loss of her dear one through death, is a new beginning for the soul.  Jesus sees it as a life to be celebrated (birthday) and thus is a joyous day.

"I have redeemed you not with corruptible things, such as gold and silver, but with the precious blood." 1 Peter 1:18-19, and I have purchased you with such great labor that I may fittingly rejoice over your salvation and be ready to pardon. 1 Peter 23-25 "Being born again not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever.  For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass.  The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:  But the word of the Lord endureth forever.

The Unfolding of Me

The unfolding of me begins with you.  This region of my heart expands at the sight of you.  How do you color love?  One does not simply etch it on paper.  It is seared on one's heart.

Dream- The Loving of God

From Journal Entry 10/31/2011

A woman is singing a pretty song about a blackbird.  A man whom is bald, is standing around several other people.  He says to the people, "We can't do the loving of God because it was his to do in loving us."

My dream symbols:

singing- emotional and spiritual fulfillment. My mood is changing for the positive as my outlook in life is looking up.
bald- I am at a stage in my life where I am confident in fully exposing myself.

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
