Poem- Without

I walk through the inner worlds    without feet. I speak to my Beloved    without tongue. I embrace the Lord of Lords    without hands. I hear the melodies of Heaven    without ears. I see the Beloved's face    without eyes. All of these things I do    through my heart-opening.

The Soul's Dilemma

Once again, each day, I travel the path of your love. Every night, without fail, I mourn your absence anew. My soul lacks the courage to love one such as you- and my heart lacks the strength to abandon you too. Reference~ Attar

Dante in Love

Dante is the greatest poet of the middle ages.   His encounter with Beatrice would have him yearning for God and unraveling all of love’s mysteries.   She would grow up and so would he.   She, like Dante, had an arranged marriage.   But Beatrice and Dante were not sweethearts, or doomed lovers.   His love for her was something else. As a boy, Dante was taken to a party of a wealthy banker by his father.   When the food was served, the children ran off to play.   Dante was arrested by the sight of Beatrice in her bright red dress.   From the beginning Dante’s passion for Beatrice was extraordinary.   Dante tells us, ‘At that very moment, and I speak the truth, the vital spirit, the one that dwells in the most secret chamber of the heart, began to tremble so violently that even the most minute veins of my body were strangely affected; and trembling, it spoke these words:   Here is a God stronger than I who comes to rule over me. ...

The Real Reality

The temple of the Living God is within your own heart.  Man has built temples, synagogues, churches, and mosques to worship Him and have tried desperately to see Him there.  The human soul is God.  God created it and all Living things.  If you look into another's eyes you will see God staring back at you.  Why is this so difficult to grasp?  There are millions of aspects of God in creation.  One creator behind them All.  The real Reality is the All is One.   Wrap your mind around the One and you will be closer to the truth.

The Valley of Loneliness

In the Valley of Loneliness silence has a voice. An endless ocean sweeps against an endless shore. The ethereal sky expands into eternity. It is the land of the Lonely Man whom hopes to unite with the woman that echos the silence of his loneliness. Hand in hand they walk from the Valley of Loneliness towards the Highest Peak. Their eyes gazing at the same peak. As they move closer to the peak, they move closer to Eternity.

Rumi and Shams- The Last Breath

I'll not put you in the heart or you'll be wounded.  I'll not keep you in the eye or you'll be lowly.  I'll give you a place in the spirit, not the eyes or the heart, so you'll be my companion at the last breath. Reference~ Me and Rumi, William Chittick

Jesus FulFilling The Law

Jesus came to fulfill all that was said of him by the prophets.  St. Paul states that Jesus came to free us from the unbearable burden of the Law, which no human being could possibly carry, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law." (Gal. 3:13) Jesus concern is not for the Law itself, but for the rights and the reverence due to God, and for the honor and respect due to God's children, all of which is the substance of the Law.  To God is is not the Law that is sacred, but the human soul.  So, the Law means nothing if the heart and soul of a human being is polluted by willfully entertaining evil thoughts and desires, and evil polluting against the interests of God and our fellow human beings. Love is the basis for the whole Law and the prophets.  If you love properly, there is no need for written commandments.  Commandments are a substitute for people who have never learned how to love, and have to be told how to treat God and one another. Jesus sh...

Fall Into The Fire

Your discourses with Him are limited if you are doing all the talking and none of the listening.  If you closed your mouth and opened your ears you would hear a faint voice telling you, fall into the fire Beloved and be burned!
