Intimate Relationships: The Power of Transformation

No matter how spiritually “woke” we may think we are, we still have deeper issues which can only be worked out within the context of relationship. Left alone, we settle into comfortable patterns that limit the range of our emotional awareness and personal expression. However, once we step out of our comfort zone and open up to others, previously unnoticed/denied aspects of ourselves begin to emerge. At first, they make waves in the calm waters of our hearts, evoking passion and excitement. But when we let them in deeply enough, it’s like stirring up a pool of still water - all the heavy and messy things which settled at the bottom of our awareness are forced to emerge to the surface. Ruined City

there's a ruined city in me where friends and family from our history have passed away where the good and bad memories of us are cemented secrets and the life we built brick by brick now is buried under layers of dirt there are beautiful skies that grace my city time has seen to it that it's well preserved in case i ever decide to visit to dig up our memories and cast a prayer so the gods will safeguard what our love built and what was swallowed up by your sins

Sometimes its walking in sunshine with deep gratitude and a huge blissful smile on your face. Sometimes it’s having really awkward and tough conversations. Sometimes it’s stretching WAY out of your comfort zone, being scared as hell and nailing it. Sometimes it’s letting others down because to honor yourself meant saying no. Sometimes it’s patting yourself on the back and saying “you’re doing a great job at this new thing, I know it’s scary but you’re doing great!” What I do know, is if you’re expecting to arrive at self love, you’ll never get there. It’s not some pit stop on a road trip to excellence and approval. It is a CHOICE that you make every single day, over and over for the rest of your life. It’s also absolutely necessary if you want a life you don’t need to escape from. Reference~ Candy ...
