The Memory of Us

day and night
without warning
my tears flow
no discretion,
no secrets they hold
the moon
can be hanging
with a sapphire glow
and my copious tears
will grace my cheek
and set my face aglow
marvelous this sweet release
i greet each tear affectionately
each one precious,
very dear to me
i do not condemn
or mock them hastily
for each one has
their painful memory
i keep them jeweled
in my heart for all
of eternity
