Healing Through Writing

I've carried 
so much 
heartache and pain
in my body 
over the years
that my body nearly
shut down on me
it wasn't until 
I cried out for peace
and declared truce
with myself
that I began to heal 
I just had to agree 
not to remain silent 
about it
